Liquid wood is a product made from natural ingredients such as tree sap and honey. It’s completely safe to use around children and animals because it doesn’t contain any chemicals. Liquid nails are pretty much the same thing, but for those of you who have never used either one before, we’ll walk through how each one works below!

How Does Liquid Woodwork?

Liquid wood is a strong, flexible adhesive made from natural ingredients. It dries completely clear, and it’s waterproof once dry. That means you can use liquid wood to glue objects together underwater or in moist areas without worrying about the product not working properly! Since it only takes 24 hours to fully cure, you don’t have to worry about waiting long periods of time for your project to be completed.

Why Is Liquid Wood Environmentally Friendly?

Liquid wood is environmentally friendly because it’s made from natural ingredients like tree sap and honey. What Is Some Common Liquid Wood Uses?

Some common uses for liquid wood include repairing cracked pots, mounting mirrors to walls, and gluing objects together underwater. If you’re interested in doing your own DIY projects with liquid wood, check out our list of tutorials below!

How to Use Liquid Wood

Here’s the list:

Mirror Mounting:

Liquid wood is the perfect adhesive for mounting mirrors because it’s waterproof and dries clear. Simply apply a thin layer of liquid wood to the back of the mirror, then attach it to the wall using nails or screws.

Pot Repair:

If you drop a pot and break the bottom, liquid wood is just what you need to repair it. Apply a few drops of glue into the crack or hole, then press your broken piece back into place. Allow the adhesive to dry for about 24 hours before using your repaired pot again!

Underwater Glue:

Liquid wood can also be used to glue objects together underwater. This is a great way to repair broken items or create new ones! Simply apply a thin layer of liquid wood to the surfaces that need to be glued, then press them together and hold for about 30 seconds. Allow the adhesive to dry for 24 hours before using your newly glued object.

DIY Coasters:

If you don’t have coasters for your coffee table, you can always make your own with liquid wood. Simply apply a thin layer of glue to the bottom of a bowl, then press it onto a coaster or tray and hold for 30 seconds. Allow the adhesive to dry overnight before using!

How to Make Liquid Wood

Follow these simple steps to make your own liquid wood adhesive!

Choose a container to use as your glue:

You can use an empty plastic bottle, jar, or pretty much any other type of sealed container you have available! Make sure the container is big enough for whatever project you want to make with liquid wood.

Add ingredients:

Start by adding equal parts honey and tree sap to your container. You can use any type of tree sap, but the consistency is generally thicker if you use pine or spruce trees.

Stir ingredients:

Use a wire whisk to mix the honey and tree sap together until they’re completely combined. Make sure there aren’t any clumps of honey left in the mixture! If you find any, blend them out with a blender or a whisk.

Pour liquid wood into the container:

Once your mixture is completely smooth and free of clumps, you can pour it into the container you’re using as your glue! Make sure to take off the lid before pouring in the liquid wood so that there’s no spillage.

Let adhesive dry:

Your liquid wood will be usable once it dries completely. Liquid wood takes about 24 hours to cure, but you can use your glue before then if needed! Just make sure that the lid is securely on the container so that dust and other particles don’t get into it.
